What a ride!!!

 

With a healthy turn out and after a cappuccino at the local bar we were on the road towards Bellagio, it was a perfect temperature with only arm warmers required for the first few kms.

 

After arriving at Bellagio it was time for the 10km of climbing up Passo del Ghisallo .... well, at least until we saw the Polizia who informed us the climb was shut due to a rally (yes car rally) stage up the climb. So we continued on by the lakes edge toward Lecco.

 

On the way back it was game on and time to drop a few of the bunch ... I swear it was not me who started this ... but as I missed the Hunter Classic, it was my substitute :-)

 

Gianni ended up the only rider left along with me and by the time we overtook the local bus and then dropped it we had arrived in Como. It was straight to the Bar for a coffee and pastry before jumping on the train back to Milano ... home by lunch!!!  Tomorrow ... we'll be heading out another route near Como ... see you there!
