Details
Kangaroo Valley is one of the hardest one day supported rides. Anyone needing a lift meets at Turramurra Cyclery (pre-organised) at 5.45am to pack the team van. After loading the bikes on the roof of the team van we depart at 6.00am sharp for the drive to Bowral. On arrival (7.30am) whist your support team unload the van coffee is the order of the day from the bakery.
After a short riders briefing we leave Bowral Post Office heading out past Bong Bong race course. Crossing over the Illawarra Hwy down into Avoca and left to Fitzroy Falls.
Descending down into Kangaroo Valley (taking Care) we regroup in the township of Kangaroo Valley before heading over the Berry Climb and descending into Berry and regrouping at the first available coffee shop. Once feeling better we head along the Princes Hwy turning right and climbing over the very steep Camberwarra and descending back into Kangaroo Valley and regrouping again in the township. A short roll before we hit the last one, Fitzroy Fall climb and once again regrouping at the srvice station at the top before heading the same way back to bowral for a late lunch. Return time back to Turramurra around 4.00pm.
If you would like to join us on the next Kangaroo Valley Supported Ride please check the Special Rides calendar and contact us at least 48 hours prior to the ride. Please give your name, age, sex, brief description of your ability and if you need a lift down and back.
